Eric Walts, Marion High School Class of 1984, is President/CEO of Premier Home Health Care and Suite Living Senior Living Community, and formerly served as Grant County Commissioner.

At Marion High School, he was a member of the 26th Street Singers, the Speech Team, and the Stage & Stammer club. He earned his Eagle Scout award his senior year.

Walts earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Economics and French from Wabash College in 1988, and his Masters in Business Administration, Finance from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business in 1991. He studied abroad in France during his undergraduate and graduate studies.

From 1991 to 2007, he was the President/Executive Administrator of Bradner Village Health Care Center, a 250-bed licensed nursing facility with 250 employees. In 1997, he founded Premier Home Health Care LLC and serves as President/CEO with offices in Marion and Wabash. In 1998, he was a founding partner of Suite Living Senior Living Community, which includes 20 independent living apartments and 42 assisted living units, with 25 employees. Since 1999, he and his wife have owned E&J Investments, a real estate development and management company.

Walts has been involved with the arts in Marion for decades, including Marion Civic Theatre, which awarded him their Best Actor award in 1989 and again in 2011, and several Community School of the Arts productions, having been one of that organization’s top donors at the time. Walts, was very active in his church, having served as a deacon, elder, and Sunday school and vacation bible school volunteer.

Walts has served on the board for many local organizations, including the Grant County Family YMCA, Salin Bank, and Carey Services, which presented him with their Heritage Award in 2019. He served in various board capacities with the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Grant County Economic Growth Council, United Way of Grant County, Marion Rotary Club, the Marion Board of Industrial Development, the Indiana Leadership Council, and Boy Scout Troop 433. Walts served as President of the Marion High School Building Committee and oversaw several capital improvements at Marion High School as well as other school buildings in the corporation. Walts has also supported many other community organizations, including the Marion High School Alumni Association, Family Service Society, and the Hostess House. He was the Blue Blazer winner at Meshingomesia Country Club in 2007 and 2009.

Walts is married to his spouse Jeannie. Their three children graduated from Marion High School: Audrey in 2012, James in 2014, and Jonathan in 2019.
