Courtney Gorman, Marion High School Class of 1979, is the longtime owner of Gorman and Bunch Orthodontics, with offices in Marion and throughout central Indiana, and he is a leader in the field. He is a sought-after educator and speaker, both at his alma mater, Indiana University, and around the globe. He is also an active community leader and philanthropist.
Gorman is a graduate of Indiana University and the IU School of Dentistry, and he earned a master’s degree from the Washington University School of Medicine.
He has traveled the world helping to educate others in his craft, from Japan to Belgium, France, and Italy, to Monaco and Israel, to Canada, and more. He also teaches every year at Indiana University.
He has served as the president of the Grant County Dental Society and of the Wabash Valley Dental Society.
Gorman has helped thousands of people directly through his orthodontics practice, and countless others indirectly through his role as an educator. In addition, though, he has helped many groups and people in our community through his volunteerism and philanthropy.
He has served on boards for community organizations including the Marion-Grant County Chamber of Commerce, the Grant County Economic Growth Council, the United Way, and Fidelity Federal Savings Bank. He has chaired the capital campaign for The Salvation Army. And he has helped provide opportunities to Giants by the continuous support of Marion Community Schools in a variety of ways.
