Orthopedic Surgeon
Led one of the largest practices in the U.S.

Dr. Fisher is an orthopedic surgeon currently practicing in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Marion High School in 1973, where he was multiple year lettermen in swimming and tennis.
A graduate of DePauw University and a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Fisher went on to complete his internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and his Orthopaedic residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in joint implant surgery at St. Anthony Hospital, Columbus, OH.
Dr. Fisher’s current hospital affiliations include Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital, Clarian North Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Community Hospitals, and St. Vincent Hospitals, all of which are located in Indianapolis. He has an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery (Indiana University School of Medicine), and he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Indiana Orthopaedic Society, the American Medical Association, the Mid-America Orthopaedic Society, and the Clinical Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Fisher has been involved in clinical research and teaching for 20 years, lecturing both nationally and internationally, and has had numerous publications.
He has also been involved in the development of total hip and knees prosthetic implant systems, which are currently in use around the world for people suffering from arthritis. He was the Director of the Joint Implant Service at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from 1988 to 2006, and currently is the Medical Director of the Total Joint Center for Excellence at the Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital.
Dr. Fisher is the past president of OrthoIndy, one of the largest orthopedic practices in the country, and has served on several Boards and Foundations.
He currently resides in Fishers, Indiana with his wife, Kathy Kiley Fisher (also a 1973 MGH graduate), and their three children.
