Mr. Hanley, a graduate of Harvard Business School, has given generously to the communities where he has resided. His business’ successes include Cummins Great Plains Diesel, which has allowed him to share his good fortune with others.
Mr. Hanley has endowed a chair for a professorship in gerontology at Purdue University. He was also the lead donor for the creation of the Human Development Institute at Purdue, which promotes research on families, aging, and leadership.
Mr. Hanley has served on various boards, such as Boy Scouts of America, Purdue Alumni Association, Rotary Board, and Chairman of the Board of the Omaha Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Hanley’s mission has been to give back to people, organizations, and communities that have been important to his success.
