William ‘Bill’ Dennis has been in the animation industry for 30 years, as of 2018. In his role as CEO and founder, he was responsible for the birth of one of India's top animation studios. While there, he produced award-winning series including The Adventures of Tenali Raman and Children’s Animation Workshop, among others. He was also the founder of the Week with the Masters Animation Festival in Kerala and the Toonz Webel Animation Academy in Calcutta. He is regarded as one of the most influential people in Asian animation today and is frequently called on to consult with studios in the region. In 2000, The Indian government awarded Bill with the prestigious Rashtriya Rattan Award for outstanding individual achievements and distinguished service to the nation. Prior to his work in India, Bill was affiliated with Turner Broadcasting’s Hanna Barbera Studios. As president of their overseas studio operations, he produced numerous award-winning cartoons starring the classic Hanna Barbera characters. At Fil Cartoons in Manila, he also produced the World Premiere Toons for the Cartoon Network. This included the premiere seasons of Dexter’s Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, and Cow and Chicken. For twenty years, Bill was an executive with The Walt Disney Studios, most recently as Vice President of Feature Animation. While at Disney, he orchestrated the talent, training, and resources for feature film production, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. He was the key manpower planning and training strategist for The Walt Disney Studios in Burbank and Orlando. He developed and implemented the manpower and training strategies for the launch of Epcot Center. He founded the ASIFA India chapter and remains active in his role as President Emeritus. He served as Executive Director of ASIFA International. Bill is a frequent juror for animation festivals and is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He serves as an advisor and board member for studios and animation schools in the USA and India. He is also the founder and principal of Zanymation Associates, a boutique animation studio with operations in the USA and Germany. He is a founding partner in the Los Angeles-based International Animation Consulting Group.
