Amber went to Marion High School from 1999 to 2003. In her freshman year, she began delving into the school’s theater productions, which really began her love for the stage. As a freshman, she performed in her first musical, 42nd Street, and then went on to audition for the 26th Street Singers led by F. Ritchie Walton and was cast for the next year. Her passion grew from there. After high school, Amber continued to pursue her love of the arts at Ball State University and majored in their musical theater program. By the time she graduated in 2007, she was one of the top female performers in the musical theater department. Her first regional production was close to home when she performed at Indianapolis’ Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre in their production of Cinderella. After graduating from Ball State, she moved to New York City in the fall of 2007 to take her career to the next level. In 2008 Amber was cast in the Broadway International Tour of Hairspray the Musical, playing the leading role of Penny Pingleton. She toured across the country and internationally, including Tokyo. Following that she continued to work throughout the country in many regional productions such as Cabaret, Legally Blonde, and Thoroughly Modern Millie as well as many NYC concert performances. In 2011, she made a shift in her career as she moved her love for the arts toward the bustling NYC fitness scene. She found that her education and knowledge for theater and performance seamlessly transferred to her live fitness workouts, TV segments, and print ads. Amber quickly found success and began training her fellow Broadway castmates as well as TV and film celebrities whom she looked up to for so long. She has trained celebs such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessie Tyler Ferguson, Ashley Olsen, and Katie Holmes. In 2014, Amber’s best friend and former assistant choreographer from the Hairspray tour and she decided to create their own online fitness company called Brave Body Project. She has been featured in digital and print publications such as Shape, Glamour, and Seventeen magazines, and on ABC News and Bravo TV. She continues to use the tools she learned at Marion High School, Ball State University and her theater career to inspire, motivate, and challenge others to be creative and perform in life like it is your own stage. She attributes so much to Marion for her success, and most importantly, gives all of her credit to her mom for her smarts, and her dad for her arts.
